Hellooo friends! For today’s post I’m talking about, you guessed it, my vacation to Florida! My friend Casey and I flew down to Fort Myers for four days to visit our friend Arielle. I have never been to the Gulf side of Florida so I couldn’t wait to go and relax.
It was so incredibly beautiful! We got very lucky with the weather, it was in the low 90’s but with very low humidity.
We didn’t land in Florida until 1 in the afternoon, so we first went to Bokampers, a bar and grill in Estero for some appetizers. We spent the rest of the afternoon catching up and getting settled in.
At night we got dressed up and went to Doc’s Beach House in Bonita Springs to watch the sunset on the beach. Is there honestly anything better than the beach, a beautiful sunset, and beer with your best friends? The bar/restaurant has tables right in the sand, it was beautiful and such a fun atmosphere.
For Doc’s Beach House I wore this black romper from PacSun. I believe it’s from the Kendall and Kylie collection. This romper is going to be a staple for me this summer. The front has a much lower v neck but I didn’t have any double sided tape with me so I safety pinned it closed. I love the knitted lace detail on the shoulders and sides of the bottoms, it dresses up the romper a little bit and adds a girly flare.
My brown gladiator sandals are from Lulu’s and I’m IN LOVE. I had a pair from Express for years that I finally had to retire. I found these on Lulu’s website and figured I’d give them a try. I have never tried Lulu’s shoes before and they were very affordable, so I wasn’t sure of the quality. However these have completely surpassed my expectations and they will be my go-to sandal this summer. My bag is a Coach cross body bag and my sunglasses are Ray-ban brand.
On our second day we wanted to check out some local brewery’s. Our favorite brewery that was stopped at was Bone Hook Brewing Co. The beer selection was amazing, and how cute is their flight in the shape of a hook?! If you’re ever in Naples and love craft beers, I highly recommend checking them out.
It was very hot this day so I wanted to wear something breezy and comfortable. I found this tank dress from Lulu’s and I need to buy it in every color. I love the rust color and the material is super soft. I wore a black lace halter bralette from Urban Outfitters because who really wants to wear a bra all day in 92 degree weather..? Not this girl.
The sunglasses are from Quay.
For lunch we stumbled upon Public House restaurant (literally it was right next door to Bone Hook). But I have to give this restaurant a serious shout out. First for the amazing food and service and second, the wallpaper in the women bathroom was large and bold empowering quotes for women. Can we just reflect on how amazing that is. “Women are meant to be loved, not understood.” “You are beautiful.” “You are more than enough.” I couldn’t stop smiling, so props to you Public House!
I wore the same Lulu’s sandals because as I mentioned, they’re just perfect and go with everything. We ended the night with frozen pizza and snuggled together for a movie like when we were 8 years old. We realized this weekend that we have been friends for 18 years, which makes us 23 year olds feel much older.
The main focus of today was the beach! We just wanted to veg out on the beach all day and completely relax. I wore my favorite new swimsuit from PacSun’s LA Hearts brand. This suit is one of the best fitting bathing suits I’ve found in a while. The bottoms are cheeky and the top has adjustable straps. I’m so disappointed this style doesn’t come in more colors!
I have to be extra careful with my face getting burnt lately because I am on Accutane. So my Yankees hat from ’47 brand was essential for this trip. The beach was so quiet and private, very different from the beaches I’m used too in NJ. I loved that there weren’t homes or buildings around, just the ocean and the palms behind us.
We ended the day at Doc’s Beach House again, one of my new favorite places.
Our last day! We had to be at the airport by noon, so we went to brunch and packed up. I couldn’t have been more blessed to have been on this trip with these ladies. I cannot wait to go back! Thank you for hosting us Arielle!
Follow me and reach out to me with any questions or comments, I’d love to hear from you!
