Rocksbox Review – March!

To give you a little perspective on my jewelry choices – I’m lazy.

Rocksbox has been the best and most fun way to switch up my jewelry game!

I never switch up what jewelry I’m wearing because I’m so picky, and quite frankly cannot be bothered shopping for it. I got my ears pierced in middle school – such a late bloomerScared af of needles. Then I got my second hole pierced my freshman year of college, about 5 years ago. I have NEVER taken my second hole earrings out…they are still the ones I got pierced with, no joke.

When I stumbled upon Rocksbox I thought – what a great idea! Basically Rocksbox is a $21/month subscription box that will send you three pieces of jewelry every month. You can try them on and wear them as much as you’d like. Then buy the pieces you love and return the rest! The $21 subscription price will go towards the pieces you decide to keep. Being able to test them out at home with your jewelry and clothing is genius. I’m having so much fun wearing the pieces out and about, with different outfits and pieces of jewelry I already own.

My favorite piece from the set I recieved are the Perry Street Nika Bamboo Hoop earrings. They are super lightweight and I like the size. I am definitely keeping these and I know I’ll be wearing them all spring and summer! The next piece I got were the Leslie Francesca Triangle Studs in champagne druzy. I have been wearing these nonstop since I got them. They are perfect for everyday and go with every thing! The last piece was the Gorjana Palisades Bracelet in turquoise and gold. I love turquoise jewelry, I have a turquoise ring I wear every day! This bracelet is really pretty, and I love that it’s adjustable.

Rocksbox Review – February 2018

If you haven’t signed up for Rocksbox yet, what are you waiting for!? I look forward to receiving my box every month and I’m never disappointed! I mean, unlimited jewelry?! Count me in.

To read a full description about what exactly Rocksbox is, click here.

The first piece is by Sophie Harper, it is the Starburst and Crystal Pendant necklace. This necklace is super dainty, which is something that I really like! I’m not a big fan of chunky jewelry. It’s adjustable too! The second piece is also by Sophie Harper, they are the Zig Zag Stacking Rings in Crystal and Black Pave. I’ve been wearing these every day with my usual rings. They’re really comfortable considering the jewels go all the way around. They also look really great apart, as well as stacked together! The last piece I received were the gold Lulu Studs by Perry Street. These earrings are gorgeous! I love the size of them because they’re wearable for everyday, but they still make a statement!

January 2018 Favorites

Helloo friends! I hope the New Year is treating you all well! Have you been keeping to your resolutions?? I love to read and watch bloggers monthly favorites, but I’ve never gotten around to sharing mine. When I finally remember to do them, its like the middle of the next month – oops. As you can tell I’m very organized.

So I’m going to attempt to do this every month this year and we’ll see how it goes! Let me know your monthly favorites in the comments below, I’m always looking for new things to try!

TULA Cleanser – This cleanser has been a life changer for me! Not to be dramatic, but it has done amazing things for my skin. My skin feels so smooth and soft, and I haven’t had any breakouts.

Essence Lash Extension Mascara – I have used this mascara almost every day the past month. It’s a one-step lash extension mascara, which I much prefer over the typical 3-step lash extension mascara. It makes my lashes so long and full, in no time! AND its only … $4.99.

Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette – This has been my go-to palette this month. It is the perfect everyday nude palette (and it smells like chocolate).

Batiste Dry Shampoo – Dry shampoo has been my saving grace, especially the Bastiste brand! My hair, just like my skin, tends to be on the oily side, and I’m training my hair, to not wash it every day. On those in between days I rely on dry shampoo to absorb the oils and give me volume!

Kopari Coconut Melt – was skeptical of this product, being that it’s simply coconut oil, with a higher price tag than you’ll find at the supermarket. However, I did my research and this product has done amazing things for my skin this winter. I use this every single time I shave my legs, after I get out of the shower, to prevent against razor burn and help with my inevitably dry skin.

Hello Fresh – My boyfriend and I have found a new obsession… and that is Hello Fresh. If you’ve never heard of Hello Fresh before it’s a meal kit delivery service, that sends you everything you need, pre portioned, fresh produce, to make your dinner from scratch. We love it because we aren’t wasting any food, we’re learning amazing, easy recipes and eating great!

The Crown – I started watching the Netflix show, The Crown, this month and I’m hooked! It’s a historical drama, about a young Queen Elizabeth II.

Almond Milk Creamer – Nestle Coffee-Mate, all natural, almond milk creamer. It tastes amazing, and it has much less sugar, and none of the “bad stuff” that you find in regular, sugar-heavy creamers.

SongsTequila by Dan and Shay, Let Me Go by Hailee Seinfeld, Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton.

Black Jeans – If you follow me on Instagram, you probably have noticed that I have been living in my American Eagle high-rise black jeans. They are SO comfortable, don’t stretch out, and they fit like a glove.

Black Booties – Another staple the past couple of months, have been my black booties from Steve Madden. They go with absolutely everything and they’re so comfortable.

Zara Suede Pants – If I could pick one word to describe these pants it would be – chic. They’re just cool!! I think they’re super unique, even though suede has been all over the place this year. They’re also really comfortable and only $40!

Rocksbox – If you follow my blog, or my Instagram, you know how much I have been loving Rocksbox. Who doesn’t love getting jewelry delivered to their doorstep every month!? To get your first set for free go to and use the code: courtmorricexoxo at checkout! Month 1 | Month 2 | Month 3

Rocksbox Review – Month 3!

If you follow my blog you know how much I LOVE Rocksbox! If you have never heard of Rocksbox, it’s a $21/month subscription box that will send you three pieces of jewelry every month. You can try them on and wear them as much as you’d like. Then buy the pieces you love and return the rest! The $21 subscription price will go towards the pieces you decide to keep. Being able to test them out at home with your jewelry and clothing is genius. My other two boxes are posted here and here!

This months box is my favorite so far. The first piece in the box, is the Aster Magnolia Duster earrings. These gold, dangly earrings are absolutely gorgeous and so light weight! I wore them last weekend for a fun night out in Annapolis! I paired them with a suede jacket and black booties. My second piece is the Sophie Harper Pavé Bar Slider Bracelet. This has been my favorite piece to wear in this box. I love pairing it with my MVMT watch (see above). The last piece in my box this month, is the Rudiment Pixley Ring. This ring has jewels all around the band, which can make it kind of uncomfortable to wear.

Watch Gift Ideas

Currently Wearing: Velvet Bomber

Hellooo friends! Happy 2018! I can’t believe how fast 2017 went by. I’m thinking of doing a post reflecting on 2017 and what I’m hoping for in 2018. Let me know in the comments below if that’s something you’d like to see!

Today I wanted to talk about this velvet bomber that I have been L O V I N G. This may actually be the first bomber jacket I’ve ever owned. I bought it during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale back in July. (Check out what I purchased, here!) It was my favorite item that I purchased from the sale, but also the one that was most out of my comfort zone. What stood out to me immediately was the color. I love the burnt orange, and that is has a little bit of shimmer.

The easiest way to style this jacket is by wearing all black, like a choose for this look. That keeps the jacket as the statement piece of the outfit. Surprisingly though, it goes with a lot of things! It’s super warm, but you can layer heavy sweaters underneath as well, or a thermal like I did. Or you could even layer a hoodie underneath, which would be really cute and make the outfit more casual.

I paired it with black jeans – can you tell that I’ve been living in these jeans the past few months? I feel like they’re all l I wear. They’re from American Eagle, you’ve seen me talk about them a bunch of million times – because they’re the best! You could also wear black heeled booties, instead of the grey ones I wore, for dinner or a night out.

If this post taught you anything, it’s to experiment with your wardrobe and go for things that catch your eye. Take it from me – it’s really fun.

Black is the new Black

Black on Black on Black

It’s been a while since I wrote about an outfit I’ve been loving. I’ve been super busy lately with the holiday season, and I just got back from vacation! Don’t forget to check out my Mexico Travel Diary if you haven’t already. I hope you all are enjoying the holiday season and having fun with all your holiday shopping!

I’m constantly trying to find and reinvent what I feel the best in. I love a pair of great fitting jeans, like these from American Eagle. They are high-waisted and have some distressing on the knees. Black jeans have been my go-to this season to dress up or dress down. These have been my most reached for jeans by far! Oh, AND they’re on sale for only $29 right now!!

This shirt is actually a tunic that I tucked in the front. I fell in love with the print, and the subtle gold stripes. I can’t find this top online unfortunately, it’s from LOFT. I’ve linked two very similar options below from Banana Republic. I recommend the oversized fit, and it looks great untucked with leggings, too!

The belt is what really brought this look together for me. It’s actually a belt that my mom had and didn’t wear anymore. I love the detailing on the buckle, and how the metal looks antiqued.

I have a fun coupon code for you guys, from my friends at Rocksbox! Use the code COURTMORRICEXOXO at checkout to get your first box of jewelry free! See what I got in my most recent box here.

Mexico Cruise Travel Diary!

Mexico2017 - 3Mexico2017 - 4Mexico2017 - 5Mexico2017 - 8

I just got back from one of the most amazing vacations.

The bf and I just got back from a Royal Caribbean Cruise to Mexico! It was a 5-night cruise aboard the Independence of the Seas. We had so much fun on and off the ship. We have cruised multiple times before, but this was the biggest ship we had ever been on! There was a million different things to do – even a mini golf course, full basketball court, and ice skating rink on the ship!

  1. Bring Dramamine or another anti-nausea medicine. This was our third cruise, and every time I’ve felt the boat rocking. This trip we felt the boat almost every night! Dramamine kicks in really quickly and helps with the dizziness and nausea.
  2. Buy the deluxe drink package. If you purchase the drink package before your trip, it’s $44/day. This includes unlimited alcoholic drinks, bottled water, and premium coffee. Trust me, it’s worth the piece of mind.
  3. Choose the later dinner time! You can usually choose to have dinner at 6 pm or 8 pm every night. While 8 pm may seem late, 6 o’clock is going to be way too early during the days your at the ports.

Mexico2017 - 14Mexico2017 - 15Mexico2017 - 19Mexico2017 - 20

Our first stop was Costa Maya, Mexico. Costa Maya is the port that was built near Tulum and Quintana Roo specifically to attract tourism. The port is really beautiful and has a beach and pool where you can spend the day, plus some shopping and restaurants. We had done a lot of research before hand and most people said that it’s best to find a beach club near the port to spend the day. The beach clubs are usually all-inclusive with one flat fee for the day. We made reservations at Almaplena Hotel Eco Beach Resort in Tulum. I HIGHLY recommend making reservations here if you’re looking for a secluded and relaxing beach day. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the beach is breathtaking! The staff make you feel like you’re the only people there, and are so welcoming. Pictures really don’t even do it justice! We spent the entire day there, just relaxing in our own private cabana. The staff brought over whatever we needed and let us know when our lunch was ready. For lunch, they provided a delicious 4-course meal, all included.

We loved the location and the hotel SO MUCH, we are considering planning another vacation and staying at Almaplena, our entire trip.

  1. Make sure to make your reservation as early as you can, they only take 10 people per day! *They want to make sure they can give you the best service and experience.*
  2. The hotel is 20-25 minutes from the cruise port, and in the middle of the jungle. (Not a joke). Don’t be alarmed that you’ll be driving on a dusty, secluded back road for most of the trip.
  3. Bring snorkeling gear! There is an amazing reef not too far off shore. You can rent snorkeling gear from the hotel as well.

Our second stop was Cozumel, Mexico. The port in Cozumel is very different from the port in Costa Maya. The port in Cozumel is much older and there isn’t much to do other than shop. We took a cab to the center of town which offered more authentic shopping from local vendors. We stopped for lunch at Pancho’s Backyard Restaurant; they have THE BEST guacamole and beef taquitos. Cozumel is an island, but the beach was far from the port, so we went in search of a spot to get some drinks on the water.

We stumbled upon a little restaurant called Fratelli’s, to get some drinks. The water was so blue and tranquil! There are many different bars and beach clubs on the water between the port and center of town. Some require a reservation, and some require I set price for the beach club. Fratelli’s patio sat right on the water and was open air so you could enjoy the beautiful breeze. There is also a small beach next to the bar that you could swim in, and the staff will bring your drinks down to the water for you.

  1. Bring small bills. Negotiating with cab drivers and street vendors is very common, make sure to bring lots of small bills so you don’t have to ask for change. *American dollars are accepted basically everywhere.*
  2. Most of the shops in the port only sell jewelry and touristy stuff. You can take a $7 taxi into the center of town where you will find authentic local treasures.
  3. DONT DRINK THE WATER – even if they say they use filtered water, it’s best to not get any drink with ice, frozen drinks or water unless it’s in a bottle. My boyfriend learned that the hard way this trip.

Rocksbox Review – 2nd Month!

I stumbled upon Rocksbox two months ago and I’m hooked! Rocksbox is a $21/month subscription box that will send you three pieces of jewelry every month. You can try them on and wear them as much as you’d like. Then buy the pieces you love and return the rest! The $21 subscription price will go towards the pieces you decide to keep. Being able to test them out at home with your jewelry and clothing is genius. I received my second box a couple of weeks ago and I’m having so much fun trying the pieces out. I just got back from a Royal Caribbean cruise TODAY and I brought all three pieces with me on my trip.

To see what I got in my box last month and more information about the boxes click here!

I wanted to try another pair of statement earrings since I’m just starting to experiment with changing up my earring game. I LOVE the Kendra Scott Renee gold earrings that I received in this box. They are very light weight and spice up any look. These are never a pair that I would pick out on my own, so I’m so glad I received them in this months box! My second piece is a dainty Rudiment Nopa gold ring. One thing you should know about me, I love rings. If I don’t have any rings on, I feel naked! I have been wearing the ring I received every single day, with my other rings and I adore it. I love that it’s dainty and has gorgeous stones on it. The last piece I received was the rose and quartz Fleur bracelet by Aster. This bracelet is really very pretty – I love the rose gold hardware on it. I unfortunately don’t think I’m going to be keeping this one because I don’t feel it is worth the price, but I have been wearing it almost every day!
